ESFR Obstructions

The National Fire Protection Association Research Foundation recently published "Obstructions and ESFR Sprinklers - Phase 1." This study was initiated to develop a tool that could be used to provide reliable analysis of the impact of obstructions on ESFR sprinklers based on existing test data and to develop technical information for the NFPA 13 Technical Committee to assist in the development of new requirements and guidance. The document is available on the NFPA website.

Congratulations to Carl Anderson, Principal of The FPI Consortium, Inc. who served on the Project Technical Panel.
